Renewal
Vacation was grand. I feel as if I were away for two months rather than just under two weeks, and there's nothing wrong with that feeling at all.

I spent the first six nights with friends in Kaneohe, who were incredibly gracious and generous. Not only did I have a beautiful room in which to lay my head, wonderful company, and some great meals, but they also gave me the use of one of their cars for the whole time I was there. I have thanked them many times over, but it still doesn't feel like enough. Sunday the 20th was the wedding, and that day I left Kaneohe to meet up with Amy in Waikiki, where we shared a room at my favorite cheap Waikiki hotel until we left on Thursday.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and a whole lot of fun. Tara and Paul, that cute couple over there, are among the nicest people I know, and I'm honored to have been asked to share their day. It gave me the extra push I needed to take a trip back to Honolulu and have some R&R, reunite with some great friends, and conduct a little business, as well. In between meeting up with friends I spent a lot of time at my favorite beaches, reading books and soaking up some sunshine. Couldn't ask for a better time.
