Dispatch from Paradise
I tried hard to not check e-mail or even get within striking distance of a computer while on vacation, but obviously changed my mind. I've spent the last few days working on my tan in between visiting with friends. I've been to four of my favorite beaches so far in pursuit of Operation Golden Goddess. Overdoing the sun slightly yesterday in conjunction with a cloudy day today led me to the keyboard this afternoon. Surprisingly enough, I actually remembered the passwords for my e-mail accounts.
I'm having a great time here. I hadn't realized how much I missed Hawaii until I came back. Much is the same, although some things have changed. I've fallen right back into the swing of things here. Still, I don't see myself moving back here -- unless of course if I were to come into a huge pile of money and could then spend January through March here. It's a nice time to be here.
The highlight of the trip so far has been the Bachelorette Karaoke Extravaganza last night, during which we all got to witness Tara channeling Britney. That sight is now indelibly etched into my memory (and the memory card of my nifty new camera). The wedding promises to be a fantabulous time.
