From CNN.com comes news of a movie in the making about the evolution of the handshake. "The handshake is as mysterious as it is common. Its origins have been researched, debated and discussed with little official agreement. . . . Regardless of its origins, there's little doubt about its significance as a greeting and an indicator of just who you're dealing with." Sounds fascinating. I shake hands all the time, and it's never occured to me to wonder about the origins of the custom.
