I made my plane reservation yesterday. The wheels are turning faster and faster, gathering momentum and pulling me down the path. Change is not a bad thing; it's just that sometimes it can be a scary thing for me. The nice reservations lady from Aloha Airlines told me that this will be a good change for me, that she could feel the positive energy in me coming through the phone line, that I am attracting good things to myself. And I didn't even set out to call a phone psychic, just the airline.

It ends up that I'll be flying into Vancouver, Canada. It is almost half the price of flying into Seattle, and also solves the logistics problems of my friends having to pick me up at SeaTac. I will go to Victoria, on Vancouver Island, for one night, then take the ferry over to Port Angeles, where my friends will pick me up. I'll be hashing out the rest of the itinerary over the next couple of days, so I can let the friends and family I'll be staying with along the way know when to expect me and so I can make hotel reservations where I will need them.

Nancy is here visiting, and we've been having a great time. I think it's great how people can be friends from way back, not keep in constant contact, but pick right up again when they see each other. We have that kind of friendship. She's been great (as have my local friends) at keeping my head on straight as I prep for this move. I'm enjoying one last look around through the eyes of a tourist before becoming a tourist myself.
