Hellacious thunderstorms here yesterday. It very rarely thunderstorms in Hawaii, and air-to-ground lightning is even rarer, so it’s always a spectacle when it happens. In addition to a few nearby lightning strikes, we got close to five inches of rain here in Manoa, and they say Manoa Stream rose seven feet! Lots of flooded out roads and car accidents; traffic was a mess everywhere all afternoon and into the evening.
How come I get the urge to redesign and rearrange only when I have so many other things that really need to be done first? I'm filled with ideas to play with here, but just don't have the time right now.
Hard to believe that I’m leaving for my trip next week. I am not at all prepared, and have way too much to do before then. That includes getting the raku pictures up. It hasn’t happened yet, but it will.
Hey, see that down there at the bottom of the left column? It’s a notify list, for those of you disgusted with how sporadic my updating is. Now, don’t just let it sit there with nobody signing up, or that will really, really depress me (like it did last time). The first five people to sign up will get a cool pit-fired Christmas ornament, fresh from Raku Hoolaulea 2001. Really. (Assuming that you'll give me your mailing address when I ask for it, that is.)
