My doctor isn’t sure what was up with my Weird Fall on Saturday, but conjectures that it was an isolated incident inspired by the combo of stress and not eating much the day before. Still, she hooked me up to the EKG and reports that I do indeed have a heart and it is beating well. She doesn’t think it was a stroke or a seizure or anything equally horrible, but she ordered a battery of blood tests since I have to go get more blood sucked out for more in-depth thyroid tests anyway.

The general thyroid test showed that my current medication is a little too much -- but I’ve been horribly tired and lethargic and gaining weight like crazy lately, which are signs of it being too little.

I’m just a big ol’ medical mystery.

I had a great time last night at Debbie’s wedding shower. Diana & Erin hosted it at Natsunoya Tea House up in Alewa Heights. It was hard to find, especially without a navigator along, but the food was worth it. There had to be ten different courses, all served family style. I discovered a fondness for yakisoba, and even tried sashimi without getting grossed out. (Sashimi goes into the category with lobster and shrimp and the like: it’s OK, but I’m not going to go out of my way to eat it.) It was a wonderful group of people, too, and Deb got some really cool gifts.
