The Christmas package finally came yesterday, loaded with cool goodies from Mom. Looks like the originating post office screwed up and marked it for slowest-boat-on-the-ocean mail instead of priority mail. Oh well. I'm just glad to have it, especially since we ran out of Malley bars the week before Christmas.

I can say for sure that I'll never be among those who think that only philistines write web pages using web-specific software, like GoLive or PageMill. I agree that it is incredibly helpful to know at least the basics of HTML so that you can mess with the source code when you need to, but it's just too time-consuming to keep type all those codes over and over again and not immediately be able to see how it affects the page.

Butterflies are everywhere this week. They especially like my garden with all its colorful flowers. I had a great time watching one in particular this morning when I was out moving some flowers around. It kept flying in loops around me, swooping down as it came near. I thought at one point that it would land on me, but it never did.

There must have been some kind of military exercise going on today. I saw five fighter jets fly over when I was at the beach this afternoon, one group of three and two singles, and a positively HUGE surfaced submarine right off of Fort DeRussy. It was way off shore, but you could tell how massive it was. I had never seen a sub in the wild before.
