This 3 Doors Down CD r-o-c-k-s! I'm always leery of buying CDs based on hearing only a song or two on the radio -- I've been burned a few too many times (can you say Divinyls? TLC? Jesus Jones?). The stint at the store was useful for access to store copies, but my retail days are over and I have to take my chances like everyone else. I bought 4 new CDs yesterday (3 Doors Down, Sade, Vertical Horizon, and Wallflowers), and there's not a dog in the bunch. Sometimes the universe smiles.

Oh, and yes, my CD collection is a little eclectic like that.

I plowed through Plainsong in a little less than a day and a half. What a well-written, thoughtful book. I admire writers who can infuse such life into characters in so few words.
