Andrea is who I want to be when I grow up, even though I think she might be younger than I. Her site and her journal are inspirations and welcome respites from the stresses of the day. Today she writes about a trip to Golden Gate Park and finding a handful of like-minded photographers there. She asks: "We create community in so many places in our lives. And even if we don't know these folks, it gives us connection and meaning. Where are your hidden communities?"

Mine are the early morning beachgoers at Huntington, the late night browsers at Borders, the lunchtime loungers at Beachwood Park and Eton, and the Sunday night regulars at the Fulton.
