This New York Times op-ed piece by Luc Sante eloquently sums up my disgust with the treatment of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib. We Americans like to swagger into other countries and tell them how it should be, but then we do this kind of thing. How is this setting an example? How does this reflect the supposed American principle of innocent until proven guilty? Is this what we want to stand for?
