Tool of the week: the crowbar. If you think your crowbar is too big for the job at hand, you're probably wrong.
I've spent the last few days painting and tearing up carpet. Yesterday was all about getting those nail-embedded wood strips up from the edges of the living room and hallway. After an hour of using the claw end of the hammer in the hallway, I was inspired to look in the garage and see if the former owners left anything that might be a little more efficient. Lo and behold there is the world's largest crowbar. It probably was overkill for what I needed to do, but it made short work of the living room. Thank you, Mr. Swanson. Now if only I could find something more effective than pliers for pulling out the seven thousand staples that were used to tack down the carpet pad.
